English Language Challenges

English Language Challenges Well, I don’t know about you guys, but this was my second time doing and writing a blog, (the first one was on the first semester at University) and I must admit that I thought that I wasn’t able to write so many words about different topics and less in English! Now I’m very proud of me because I could do it and I like it because I share my experiences and thoughts about various themes with you since my favorite book or film until post-graduate studies, so through the blogs, you can know me more and vice versa! And this blog gives me the opportunity to apply the words that I know in English to write about everything. So now I can say that my abilities in writing maybe improve a little more, but I must admit that in the beginning was a little difficult for me because I don’t know very well the English grammar and the pronunciation and the listening, so I would like to take in the future, grammar classes and try to watch more films in English withou

Changes to my study programme

Changes to my study programme When I had to choose the University to study my career, I was looking different curriculum from different Universities and I chose this Faculty because have more investigation subject so the curriculum prepare good professionals (for this area) , but I realize that in our first 2 years we only have general science subjects in comparation with others careers and I think that it’s a disadvantage because we only have a general perception with our future job in the first years of career .   And I also realize that since the time past the subjects increase so we are going to have a big workload than we already have. Another fact about this Faculty are the buildings and the green areas because the library is smaller for the quantity of students that are, and I think that this building is the most important because this the place in which the students could study without any distraction but as it is very small some people have to study in the cafeteria

In my opinion...

What is your opinion about Immigration ? Well as you know in these last years some countries (like Venezuela, Colombia and Haiti) have some politics crisis that’s having produced immigrations to our country Chile. And some Chilean people get angry with this because they thought that they come to steal their job, that they come with contagious issues or they are thieves or drug traffickers but I think that are prejudices and racism (something that is even worse) , they talk from the ignorance because they come to find new opportunities a better quality of life but unfortunately but when they arrived they find the opposite because some Chilean  people make them work all day , or leasing them a piece without the basic needs or making racism comments  and all of us became an immigrant in some point  and I also think that this immigrations make our country more multicultural and I hope that this comportment with immigrants from Latino America change . From cartoons, animes to TV series When I was a child I watched with my brothers or my cousins some cartoons like Pinky and the brain, Tom and Daly, Fast and Furry-ous and some of Disney’s cartoons. I liked because I thought that was funny but I was growing and the things that I like have changed a little and now I like the most the series than mangas or comics, and my favorite series is Friends! It was created in 1994, and the series is about the life of a group of friends -Chandler Bing, Phoebe Buffay, Monica Geller, Ross Geller, Rachel Green and Joey Tribbiani- who reside in Manhattan, New York. It happens both good and bad moments, but with a comical criticism of the most transcendental events of today. As you realized I wasn’t born yet when the series comes out, but fortunately I could saw this series on Netflix! And in this platform have all the seasons so I watched every season when I had free time. Now I watch series occasionally because I don’t have so much time a

Post graduate studies

Postgraduate studies Sometimes when I think in my professional future I have to admitted that I would like to do a Ph.D. degree because I would have more knowledge in some area and I would give a better service for the people in this case in the health area making some research in some drugs that could treated some diseases ( like cancer or unusual disease) and sell it in a low price (if it possible) because the major part of this country can’t afford some expensive treatments to keep alive their children or some parent  for the cost of them ,  and in that way improve their health and quality of life.   In my case, I would like to take a Pharmacology Ph.D. degree or take a Diploma doing a programme about the Pharmaceutical sciences because I think that these two areas complete each other.  And I would like to study in Chile or Spain because in these countries Spanish is their mother tongue and so I’ll be able to understand perfectly what is teaching me, but I woul

Your New Job

Well sometimes I start thinking in my future and the responsibilities that I’m going to have, and one of them is the job. As you might know I’m studying Chemistry and Pharmaceutical so my job is going to be in a laboratory or in a hospital, so definitely I’m going to have a job indoors, but I would like to prefer some outdoor because I don’t like the idea of stay in a room all day but I think that I don’t have any options.   So the job that I would like to do is ecotourism because in this job you have the opportunity to travel, to explore new places, meet new people every day, and the days always are going to be different than the day previous!!  In this job you don’t have a routine, you are not a machine doing the same thing over and over.  Unfortunately, the salary in this job isn’t enough to this new life in which you need to pay for everything and the labor field is full so it’s difficult to find a job in this area, and also you need a lot of energy and I don’t have

Since the focus of all genetics is the gene, the fundamental goal of laboratory geneticists is to isolate, characterize, and manipulate genes. This technic it’s very important in Chemistry and pharmacy’s area because help us to make biotechnological drugs that are used to many illness treatments. I chose this technic because this development was very controversial and brought very revolutionary changes in the field of medicine and introduced such methods of treating diseases.    I learn about it in a university class and I thought that it was very interesting how a change in our genes plus technology could help a lot the health of people by the creation of biotechnological drug
